To start, what is self-love? Self-love is defined in the dictionary as having an appreciation for one's own worth or value and paying sufficient attention to one's own happiness and well-being. How you love yourself in closely related to your self-esteem, your self-worth and confidence. So, how do you know if you truly love yourself? Here are 10 signs to help you figure it out:
You constantly seek validation and approval from others.
You struggle with setting and enforcing boundaries in your relationships.
You have negative self-talk and struggle with self-criticism.
You prioritize others' needs over your own.
You struggle with accepting compliments or positive feedback.
You feel guilty or selfish when you prioritize self-care.
You compare yourself to others and feel inadequate.
You feel anxious or depressed when you're alone.
You have a history of attracting toxic or unhealthy relationships.
You feel like you don't know who you are or what you want in life.
